Τα φετινά Όσκαρ αποτελούν παρελθόν, με τη μεγαλύτερη εκδήλωση στον κόσμο γύρω από τον κινηματογράφο -την οποία παρακολούθησες μέσα από τη COSMOTE TV - να κρύβει αρκετές εκπλήξεις.
Ίσως πολλοί να μη το περίμεναν, όμως η ταινία Everything Everywhere All at Once είναι αυτή που σάρωσε τα φετινά βραβεία Όσκαρ, κερδίζοντας συνολικά 7 βραβεία, συμπεριλαμβανομένου αυτό της Καλύτερης Ταινίας, Σκηνοθεσίας, Πρωτότυπου Σεναρίου, Μοντάζ, Α' Γυναικείου, Β' Γυναικείου και Β' Ανδρικού. Με 4 βραβεία ακολουθεί η ταινία All Quiet on the Western Front ενώ το The Whale κατέκτησε δύο Όσκαρ,μεταξύ των οποίων αυτό του Α’ Ανδρικού ρόλου για τον Μπρένταν Φρέιζερ.
Φυσικά δεν λείψαν τα ευτράπελα -όχι φυσικά στα περσινά επίπεδα-, με τον παρουσιαστή της εκδήλωσης, Τζίμι Κίμμελ να εμφανίζεται στη σκηνή με ένα γαϊδουράκι, μια αναφορά στην ταινία Banshees of Inisherin στην οποία “πρωταγωνιστεί” το συμπαθές τετράποδο.
